Check 401k.com is a free, non-profit website sponsored by the Pension Trade Association, a California non-profit corporation dedicated to helping U.S. workers save for their retirement through the expanded coverage and use of 401k-type defined contribution pension plans.

The Pension Trade Association (PTA), California Domestic Nonprofit Corporation #C1629080, was founded in 1982, and maintains a sponsored website at www.pension-trade-association.org. In addition, the Association sponsors two additional non-profit, websites; an active WordPress blog at www.401k-plan-blog.com and this website….a free service for 401k plan participants to monitor their company’s management of their 401k plan.

One obvious threat to the safety of 401k plan participants’ retirement savings, and the creditability of small 401k plans, comes directly from employers who do not run their 401k plans properly or in accordance with federal laws.
